Careers at Akimbo

Software Developer - Cybersecurity

Role:   Software Developer
Salary:   £30,000 – £45,000
Location:   Lancashire, UK

Akimbo are a cybersecurity company that builds software to make security testing more effective. Our vulnerability management platform helps companies find, track, and manage their security issues.

We’re looking for a software developer that can hit the ground running and can help us build on our security platform.

We develop primarily in Python so experience with Python is a requirement, but any experience in CSS, JavaScript, Rust, AWS, Machine Learning, or Cybersecurity is a plus. As a team we like to work collaboratively, so there’s plenty of opportunity to expand into those areas if you’re interested.

We don’t require a degree, or any specific professional certifications – we’re much more interested in your ability to do the day-to-day work required of the role.

We’re a flexible working company, if you’d prefer something different to working Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, then we’re happy to schedule something different. We’re also happy for the team to work from home regularly.

Each team member gets £1,000 per year to spend on training, certifications, or conferences – whichever is your thing.

If you'd like to apply, get in touch: careers@akimbocore.com.
